Who the WashPRO is for
The WashPRO is a heated, high-pressure parts-washing cabinet for workshops that clean components and heavy parts by hand and want the mess kept inside a cabinet. The operator watches the part through the viewing window and works through the glove ports, so the wash stays enclosed while they stay in control of every part.
It sits beside the METClean DPF range, not inside it. A DPF cleaning machine connects to the filter and runs a controlled wash through it; the WashPRO washes the outside and surfaces of parts under the operator’s direction, which is a different job with a different result.
You set the WashPRO up yourself, with remote onboarding and support from MET. There is no installation visit to arrange, though the electrical connection is for a qualified person.
Not the right fit if- Cleaning ash out of diesel particulate filters. That needs a METClean DPF cleaning machine, not a parts washer.
- A workshop that wants a programmed cycle to run on its own. The WashPRO is operated by hand throughout.
- Anyone expecting a parts washer to repair a worn or damaged component. Washing removes dirt and oil; it doesn’t fix the part.
- METClean E
- You want to clean car and van DPFs in-house with a simple cabinet machine and a controlled back-flush wash.
- METClean S
- You want automatic DPF cleaning with a pressure pre-test, hot drying and a printed before-and-after record for the customer.
What it washes
The WashPRO is for general workshop parts cleaning: oily and greasy engine and gearbox parts, and other components that carry oil, grease and road dirt and need heated, high-pressure water to shift it. The part goes inside the cabinet, and the operator decides how long to work on each area and when it is clean enough.
It is not a DPF cleaning machine and isn’t intended for removing ash from diesel particulate filters. Ash sits inside the filter’s channels, and clearing it needs water driven through the filter in a controlled cycle, which is what the METClean E, S, V and XL Multi+ are built to do.

A normal job, start to finish
The steps below describe how the WashPRO is used, from MET’s product information. There is no published WashPRO manual yet, so the exact settings and safety checks are covered at handover.
- Check the tank. Water topped up and the tank heated before work starts. Skim off any oil left on the surface from the previous session.
- Load the part. Place the part in the cabinet where it can be turned and reached from the glove ports, then close the door.
- Wash under control. Working through the glove ports and watching through the window, the operator directs the heated wash at the part, using the foot pedal to control it.
- Blow off. Use the air gun to clear water from the part, including recesses and threads where it collects.
- Inspect and unload. Check the part through the window before opening the door. Anything still dirty goes round again; finished parts come out to dry fully before they’re refitted.
- End of the day. Skim the oil from the tank and check the water condition, so the next session starts with clean water.
How many parts you get through depends on how dirty they are and how long the operator works on each, because the WashPRO is driven by hand rather than by a timed programme. Plan around the parts you actually wash rather than a headline figure.
Very oily or heavily soiled parts load the water more quickly, so a busy week of dirty work means skimming and checking the tank more often.

Heat, pressure, control
What the WashPRO does, and what each part of it is for. Published pressure and temperature figures render from the product master once approved.
- Heated water
- The tank has its own heater, so the wash runs with hot water, which helps lift oil and grease from parts.
- High-pressure wash
- A wash pump delivers the heated water at high pressure, controlled by the operator with a foot pedal, so both hands stay free in the glove ports.
- Enclosed working
- The part is washed inside a closed cabinet, with a viewing window and glove ports, so spray and dirt stay inside rather than across the workshop floor.
- Oil and water management
- Water returning to the tank passes through multi-stage filtration, including an external replaceable filter, and an oil skimmer takes surface oil off the tank. The operator keeps an eye on the water and changes it by hand.

Closed-loop water and waste handling
The WashPRO operates as a closed-loop system: it filters its water and reuses it. Water is held in a heated tank and pumped to the part inside the cabinet, where the operator directs the spray through the glove ports with a foot pedal. Water running off the part goes back to the tank rather than to a drain, through multi-stage filtration that includes an external replaceable filter, and the oil skimmer takes surface oil off before the water is pumped again. One tank fill serves multiple washes rather than water being discharged continuously.
When the water reaches the end of its useful service, the machine is isolated and emptied following MET’s instructions. Used water, sludge, skimmed oil and spent filters are kept and disposed of through your approved waste-disposal route, never to ground, surface water or an ordinary drain. The tank and filters are cleaned before the machine is refilled.
- Step 1: TankFilled with the required volume of water and heated.
- Step 2: PumpDelivers heated water at high pressure, controlled by the foot pedal.
- Step 3: Part in the cabinetWater running off the part returns to the tank, not to a drain.
- Step 4: Filtration and skimmingMulti-stage filtration, including an external replaceable filter, captures contamination and the skimmer removes surface oil.
- Step 5: End of serviceIsolate, empty, retain water, sludge, oil and spent filters for approved disposal. Clean the tank and filters, then refill.

Owning a WashPRO
Delivery, installation and training
Before delivery we agree where the cabinet will stand, the electrical supply and protective devices, compressed air for the air gun, and how the tank will be filled and emptied. You then set the WashPRO up yourself, with MET onboarding you remotely.
Onboarding covers heating and topping up the tank, using the foot pedal and air gun safely, skimming the oil, changing the external filter and recognising when the water needs changing.
Maintenance and parts
Day to day, the operator keeps the cabinet and window clean, skims oil from the tank and watches the water condition. At the end of the water’s service the machine is isolated, emptied and cleaned, and the filters are inspected or changed.
Consumables come from the MET shop. Keep the machine’s serial number to hand when ordering parts or asking for help.
Warranty and support
The WashPRO has a twelve-month parts-only warranty, and service and extended warranty plans are available on request. Cover depends on following the safety and operating instructions. Support is remote, from the MET team.
When you ask for help, send the model and serial number, what the machine was doing and a photo of the problem. Electrical work, including isolating the machine, is for a qualified person only.

Manuals and evidence
MET hasn’t published a WashPRO operating manual yet, and public downloads will follow once documents are approved. A guide to the machine’s breaker labels exists and is being reviewed before it is used for support. The pages below explain water handling and maintenance in more depth.
Questions buyers ask
Can the WashPRO clean DPFs?
No. It is a parts washer, not a DPF cleaning machine, and isn’t intended for removing ash from a filter. For DPFs, look at the METClean E or S.
Does it run on its own like the DPF machines?
No. The operator controls the wash by hand through the glove ports, with a foot pedal, from start to finish.
Does it reuse its water?
Yes. Water running off the part returns to the tank through multi-stage filtration, including an external replaceable filter, and is reused until it reaches the end of its useful service.
How big a part can it take?
Tell us about the largest parts you wash and we’ll confirm whether they fit when you enquire.
How often does the water need changing?
The expected number of washes per tank fill is shown in the water section above. Very oily or dirty parts shorten it, so skim and check the water regularly.
What does it need on site?
An electrical supply with suitable protective devices, compressed air for the air gun, water to fill the tank and an approved route for disposing of used water and sludge.
